Author Marianne Williamson “un-suspended” her Democratic presidential campaign Wednesday after she earned 3% of overall votes and beat fellow challenger Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) in the Michigan primary Tuesday, less than a month after she suspended her long-shot campaign against President Joe Biden.

In a more than four-minute-long video posted on social media, Williamson announced she was reentering the Democratic primary because “something so much more important than the horse race is at stake.”

Williamson was critical of Biden’s plan “to finish the job,” and implied Biden cannot defeat “the fascist,” referring to former President Donald Trump.

In the video, Williamson reiterated her calls for Medicare for all, tuition free college, paid family leave and subsidized child care and said “we have to respond to Donald Trump’s dark vision of possibility.”

“This is serious,” Williamson said in the video, “We need to say to the American people we see your pain and we need to say to Donald Trump we see your BS.”

3%. That’s the percentage of Democratic votes Williamson received in the Michigan primary Tuesday, according to the Associated Press. Williamson came in third place , behind Biden (who received 81.1%) and “uncommitted” voters protesting Biden’s stance on the Israel-Hamas war (which numbered 13.3%). Williamson beat Phillips in Tuesday’s primary after he earned 2.7%.

Biden is widely expected to win the Democratic nomination, easily overcoming Phillips and Williamson. Before Tuesday’s results, Williamson had a series of poor performances in primaries in New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. A self-help author sometimes criticized for her past comments on vaccines, Williamson previously ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020 but dropped out before the primaries.
