Five draft laws in the field of education have been published in the Government’s ENER system, while the Ministry of Education and Science has invited the public to participate in the creation of solutions.
The Ministry of Education announces that it is about completely new laws proposed for secondary education; for education and professional training and for adult education, as well as the laws for the amendment and completion of the Law on Basic Education and the Law on the National Framework of Qualifications, Telegraph Macedonia reports.
The proposed solutions have been prepared by the working groups formed by the decision of the Minister of Education and Science, whose members are representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and some other competent institutions, experts and professionals in the teaching and academic fields.
“These laws are already ready and have been put up for public discussion. Public hearing means that anyone with a comment can make it for us to consider. If we find it acceptable, it will certainly be included in the law. It is accessible to all stakeholders that make up the education system – teachers, parents, older students, administration. I sincerely hope that our foreign partners who have been informed and who have helped us in many ways will look at those laws and give their suggestions”, said Minister Vesna Janevska.
After the end of the public debate, Janevska says that the Parliamentary Commission for Education and Science should look at them, go to the Government and then go to the Assembly for a vote. Voting is expected to take place in November.
