The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple recalls last week including nearly 145,000 Kia SUVs for rearview mirror issues.
A rearview camera that does not properly display images can increase the risk of a crash, according to a NHTSA report.
Volkswagen also issued a recall for more than 47,000 Jetta compact cars for an ignition switch issue.

Dealers will inspect and replace the rearview camera housing, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 27, 2023. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia’s number for this recall is SC280.
